- Notes: My grandfather's marriage certificate with his mother's name as Louisa Jane Woodham. So we know what the name sounded like. I don't believe she would have a birth certificate. George Wadham and Mary Ryan are refused marriage on 10 Jan 1843. Louisa would be born 1843 as she was 15 when she married Samuel Jones. From DNA I am a 3rd cousin of Mary Wadham's descendant who is also related to Dennis people. Mary Wadham came from Maitland and had a Compositor father George.
I think that shows the name was Wadham.
