graduate from medicine from Edinburgh UNiversity, first sailed to NZ with siblings, found no need of doctors so sailed to NSW, invited to Queanbeyan by Campbell but found no opening for doctor. 1843 became Queanbeyan's first school master, had to close down because parents could not pay fees. Campbell then employed him as a shepherd. later he bacame partner of Dr Haley. Member of Queanbeyan Hospital Committee for 35 years. |
