The death of Mr. Amos Francis Pendergast, of Moonbah, occurred recently in Cooma District Hospital, following a long illness. Aged 48, he was the second son of Mr. James Thomas Pendergast and the late Mrs. Pendergast. Mr. Pendergast married at St. Patrick's Church, Cooma, Miss Evelyn Ellen, third daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward William Rowe, of Rocky Plain. She survives him; also his father, two brothers, Henry Joseph (Bega), and Norman Raphael (Sydney). A brother and a sister predeceased him. Requiem Mass was celebrated at St. Patrick's Church, and the remains were then taken to the Catholic Church at Moonbah. There the Holy Name Society, led by Father Bartley, recited the Rosary, after which the interment took place in Moonbah Cemetery. Father Bartley officiated.
