DEATH OF MR. ROBERT CHENEY, SENR. The death occurred early on 12th. inst. at the Wagga district Hospital of Mr. Robert Cheney, Senr., of Humula, at the age of 67 years, after 5 months' illness. He was a highly respected resident of the Humula district for over 50 years. He was formerly part owner of Stockaroo Station, and also built the present hotel at Humula, which he carried on for a number of years. He was born in Buckingham, England, in 1842, and was married at Wagga to a Miss McNamarra. He leaves a widow and 5 sons and four daughters, viz., James, George, Dennis, Robert, and Alfred (sons); and Mrs. T. Wilson, Mrs. W Carrol, Mrs. B. Shoemark, and Mrs. H. Kendall. He also leaves three brothers and two sisters, viz., John, Henry, and Joseph ; and Mrs. Adams and Mrs. T. Wilson. The remains were conveyed to Humula on the 18th. inst. for interment. |
