MR. M. HALLORAN, WAGGA.
The death occurred recently of a well known resident of Wagga, Mr. Michael Halloran, at the age of 63 years, at the Advance Australia Hotel. Until overtaken by illness, Mr. Halloran took an active part in all branches of sport. The news of his death will be learned with regret by district sportsmen. He was the eldest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Halloran, of Tumut, and was born at Lacmalac, Tumut. He leaves five sisters — Mesdames M. Noble (Sydney), G. Warrington (Leichhardt), H. McDonough (Wagga), A. S. Ross (Molong), and Nurse Halloran (Sydney) —and three brothers — Messrs. Thomas (Sydney), John (Melbourne) and Roland (Sydney). He was a nephew of the late Mr. Thomas Halloran, of Fernleigh, Wagga, and Mr. Patrick Halloran, Wagga. He had lived in Wagga for 40 years, and for the last 10 years he lived with his brother-in-law, Mr. H. McDonough, of Baylis-street. Mr. Halloran was a member of the H.A.C.B.S. The funeral took place on Saturday morning from St. Michael's Cathedral, where the Rev; Father Barry conducted a short ceremony, which was attended by a number of relatives and friends. The cortege included relatives and friends from Molong, Oura, Albury and Wagga. The interment took place in the Catholic portion of the Wagga cemetery. The carriers were Messrs. H. McDonough (brother-in-law), P. O'Rourke, W. Keane, T. Ryan, C. H. Coady and H. Coveny(fellow members of the Hibernian Society). The pall-bearers were Messrs. Masters and F. Ross (nephews), J. W. McDonough, H. Whiting, P. Rohan, G. Winter, W. Parkhurst and J. Mack. The Rev. Father Cuningham read the burial prayers. The coffin was covered with floral tributes, including a wreath from Messrs.
