The Tumut and Adelong Times 27 Jul 1926
DEATH OF MR. SAMUEL TASKER After days and nights of terrible suffering for months from an internal growth, Mr. Sam. Tasker passed away on Sunday night last at 8 o'clock. Some months ago Mr. Tasker went to Sydney to be operated on, but the operation was not a success, and the specialists could see that he had only a few months to live. A fine, hefty man, he, up till a year or so ago, did not know his own strength. Always clean living and hard working, he lived for his good wife and family, and the blow is a hard one indeed to have to part whilst he was yet in the prime of life, being 52 years of age. Born at Bombala, he came to this dis trict many years ago, and all the fam ily were born about here. A loving wife and five children are left to mourn the loss of one of the best of husbands and fathers. The children are : Edward, Alfred, Charles, Mary and Fred. During his illness he was tenderly nursed by his wife, and, though suffering excruciating agony, his one thought was of her future. The greatest sympathy is felt for Mrs. Tasker and the family. |
