| Thomas King aged 15 came to Australia on the Neptune the same ship as Mary Ann Friend who was 18. They married in 1845 and had 11 children. 41 years later they arrived in Wagga Wagga. Thomas had been a Lay Preacher in Crookwell, and had lived on the land as a Miller and Farmer. He settled on a property at Kyeamba Creek near Alfredtown before retiring to his Fox Street home in Wagga Wagga. Thomas is buried in the King Pioneer grave in Wagga Wagga where several other family members have joined him. |
