Personal Notes:

OBITUARY.— MR. R. BOYD
The death occurred recently in Sydney of Mr. Robert Boyd, a pioneer of the Griffith district, aged 77 years. Mr. Boyd was one of the first settlers of the Irrigation area, taking up residence at Farm 1908, having arrived from Yass. In 1941 Mr. Boyd and his wife left Griffith and retired to live at Chatswood Sydney, where he resided until the time of his death. The funeral service took place at the Chatswood Chapel after which the cortege travelled to the Northern Suburbs cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, son Robert (Tumbarumba), and three daughters, Jean (Mrs. E. Greethead of Chatswood), Rita (Mrs J. Bofinger, Lane Cove and Iris (Mrs L. Gilbert (Griffith)
