Goulburn Evening Post 29 Apr 1954
Death of Wagga Truck Driver A 41-year-old transport driver died in Goulburn Base hospital early this morning from injuries received when his semi-trailer truck left the road and overturned near Cullerin last Friday. He was Robert Booth, of 62 Hampden [sic Crampton] Street, North Wagga. Booth's vehicle was negotiating a curve on the Hume Highway near Cullerin Post Office shortly before 8 a.m. during a heavy fog. The truck ran over a culvert, overturned and came to rest almost 50 yards from the highway. The accident was first seen by a local youth on his way to work. Booth was admitted to hospital suffering from lacerations to the head and abdominal injuries, and was in a serious condition. He leaves a wife and three children. A man riding with Booth in the cabin of the truck escaped uninjured from the accident. Daily Advertiser Wagga Wagga, NSW Monday 3 May 1954, p.2 Funeral MR. R. N. E.
