| - Notes: On Monday morning Mr. Roland John Lindbeck, of Eurongilly, died at the age of 82 years. He was one of the original teamsters who plied between Gundagai and Tumut in the early days before the advent of the railway. He was probably the last member of that band.
Originally he secured a block of 'Cooba Creek' when Nangus station was cut up. He is survived by four sons and three daughters, and also two sisters, Mrs. Jane Quarmby, of Batlow, and Mrs. Fuller, of Walgett. Daily Advertiser (Wagga Wagga, NSW : 1911 - 1954) Tuesday 3 June 1947 p 4 Article MR. R. J. LINDBECK The funeral of Mr. Roland John Lindbeck, of 'Hazeldene' Cooba, took place yesterday, the remains being interred in the Church of England portion of the Junee cemetery. Prior to the cortege moving from St. Luke's Church, Junee, a short service was conducted by the Rev. H. Staples. During the service at the Church the Hymn 'Nearer My God to Thee' was sung, Miss E. Ings officiating at the organ. Relatives and friends were present from Eurongllly, Old Junee, Erinvale, Junee Reefs, Junee., Sydney, Tumut and Wagga, and a large number of floral tributes were sent. While the casket, covered with family wreaths was being carried from the church, Miss Ings played the 'Dead March in Saul'.
