OBITUARY. The death of another old resident is reported. Last Saturday morning Mr. William Gibbs; one of the oldest residents of the district, was found dead in his bed. It was not a matter of surprise to his medical attendant, for he had long suffered from Bright's disease of the kidneys, and the fatal is sue was only a question of time. A large cortege followed the remains on Sunday afternoon to the place of in terment in the Church of England por tion of the old cemetery, where the Rev. W.; M. White ofliciated. The deceased was identified with one of the earliest and best known families in this neighbourhood, and many branches of the family occupy substaintial and well to-do positions in the Queanbeyan district. |
