OBITUARY MR. WM. GEO. BALLARD The death occurred at 8.30 p.m. last Wednesday, at the residence of his daughter, Mrs Jas Craine, Sheridan-street, Gundagai, of Mr. Wm. George Ballard, 67 years old resident of the district. Deceased was born in Tumut district, and has been residing thereabout all his life. For 15 years he was dairying on Darbalara, in the days when the S.A.I Co was in existence — left there when the company sold out, and went to reside at Gundagai, about 8 years ago. A cold got him about a week ago, and on Tuesday gastric trouble set in, and deceased never rallied. He leaves a wife and the following family :— Mr. W. S. Ballard, Gundagai; Mrs G. Tozer, Gundagai; Mrs Jas Craine, Gundagai; Mrs W. Smith, South Gundagai; Mr C. P Ballard, Darbalara; Mr. Walter Ballard, Gobarralong ; Mr Allen Ballard, Jackalas ; Mr Dan Ballard, Mr Verl Ballard and Mr Fred Ballard, Gundagai. The funeral took place on Thursday, the remains being interred in C. E. cemetery, North Gundagai. Rev S. G. Davis read the burial service. |
