| William James Nest was a bigamist. He first married Sarah Rose in Castlemaine, Victoria, and these two had three children, Elizabeth, John and Albert. William must then have come to Wagga Wagga, where he met up with Elizabeth Mallett, nee Needham, a widow, and they had one child, Emma in 1866. In1874, he married Elizabeth Mallett, though his wife in Castlemaine was still alive. William and Elizabeth had a further five children. |
