When arriving in Wagga Wagga in 1865, William selected land six miles out of town on the Oura Rd. at Glenfield. He was appointed a Justice of the Peace, a member of the Hospital committee in 1870, a director of Wagga Wagga Sugar Co. in 1871 and was prominent in the Free Selectors Association. |
