Evening Telegraph (Charters Towers) 10 Feb 1911
LATE MR. W. MILLETT. The death of Mr. Win. Millett, following so closely on that of his brother John, came as a great surprise to Ch. Towers people. Mr. Millett came to Charters Towers nearly 30 years ago, when he was associated with his brother John, the late Wm. Percy, and Mr. David Rollston, in Millett's Wellington and other ventures. He played a leading part as a mine owner, and at the time of his death, was a director on some of our leading mines. Deceased who was a widower, was 53 years of age, and leaves two, grown-upsons. The funeral left his late residence, Richmond Hill, at 4 p.m. to-day. |
