The funeral of Stanley Athol Cowell, who died in the Wagga District Hospital on Saturday morning, took place yesterday afternoon, leaving the Wagga District Hospital at 12.30 o'clock. On arriving at Lower Tarcutta a large number of relatives and friends joined the cortege from Sydney, Tarcutta, Bombala, Borambola.

Cowell, of Bombala, Richard Diamond, John Hilton (uncles), Lindsay Hilton, Bert Hilton, Edward Brown, Frederick Rodd, and Leslie Rodd (cousins). The Rev. E. Fletcher, rector of Tarcutta, officiated at the graveside.
The chief mourners present were the relatives mentioned and the deceased's father, Mr. John J. Cowell, of Sydney, Mr. and Mrs. James Rodd, of Tarcutta (grandparent), Mr. W. H. Cowell and J. N. Cowell, of Bombala (uncles), Mr. and Mrs. Eric Angel, Mr. and Mrs. E. The coffin was heavily covered with wreaths sent by relatives and friends, including tributes from the many Wagga friends of the family and from the Pastoral Hotel, Wagga, per Mrs. Andrews. The funeral arrangements were conducted by Messrs. M'Intosh Bros., of Wagga, and Mr. John J. Cowell's two brothers travelled all night to be with their brother in his double bereavement.
