The Tumut and Adelong Times 31 Mar 1936
MRS. J. FRAZIER The death occurred in the Wagga District Hospital last Thursday afternoon of a well-known resident of the Bullenbong and Wagga district for many years, Mrs. Susannah Frazier, wife of Mr. John Frazier, of 315 Edward-st., Wagga, at the age of 70 years, after a short illness. The deceased and her husband were among the very early pioneers of the Bullenbong district. She was born at Wagga, and was the only daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rynehart, very early pioneers of the Wagga district. She was married at Wagga over 50 years ago, and her husband survives her, also three sons and four daughters, Messrs Joseph and Daniel Frazier, of Gumly, and Mr. Leslie Frazier, of Tumut, and Mesdames J. Perryman, of Gormley Avenue, Wagga, J. Q. Carn, of French Park, S. Crisp, of Docker-st., Wagga, and H. Bergmeier, of Brookdale. Two sons and two daughters predeceased her, Duncan and Malcolm, and Vern and Ethel. Mrs. Frazier also leaves fifteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, also one brother, Mr. J. W. Rynehart, of the Wagga district. The late Mrs. Frazier was of a kindly and obliging nature, and in cases of sick ness or distress she was always a willing helper. She was a good wife and mother, and a kind neighbour and friend. She was a fearless horsewoman in the pioneering days and rode long distances to obtain help in cases of sickness. The funeral took place on Friday afternoon, the remains being interred in the Church of England portion of the Wagga Cemetery. |
