Personal Notes: |
Fanny & Charles came to Wagga area from Goulburn in abt 1864. George was one of the successful landholders in the Wagga district. He was for several years Chairman of the Pasture Protection Board for the Wagga District. Charles Lindon was farming in the North Wagga area at the time of the 1870 floods. He became seriously ill from exposure and died from kidney failure, leaving his wife Francis with their seven surviving young children to provide for. In the early 1890s, Francis and her sons, Mark and George, became share-farmers on Gobbagombalin Station. |
