The Tumut and Adelong Times 25 Sep 1945
MR. DAVID BUSH The death occurred at the Yass District Hospital on Tuesday last of Mr. David Bush, at the age of 81 years. He had been an inmate of the hospital for the past fortnight, but was in indifferent health for several years. The late Mr. Bush was born at "Washing Pen" Farm, near Dalton, and lived in the district for the greater part of his life. He was a farmer and grazier and followed all kinds of bush work, horse breaking and shearing. Later he took up veterinary work and became well known as a noted veterin ary surgeon. He continued to practice until his health failed. He then went to Guildford, where he resided until the death of his wife, nearly two years ago, when he returned to Jerrawa to live with his daughter. He was a member of the Orange Lodge for many years. The deceased is survived by five sons, William (Jerrawa), Edwin (Tumut), George (Yass), Frederick (A.I.F.), Vernard (Sydney), and five daughters, Sylvia (Mrs. Ralph, Mudgee), Millie (Mrs. E. Merriman, Jerrawa), Lillian (Mrs. G. Robinson, Cowra), Myrtle (Mrs. A. Waters, Jerrawa), and Mary (Mrs. N. Brown). |
