Personal Notes:

MRS. JOHN SHOEMARK, 85.
Mrs. Shoemark was born in England, and came to Australia with her husband about 62 years ago, and shortly afterwards arrived at Narellan, and has been in the district ever since. She and her husband were some of Camden's early pioneers — respectable, self
reliant, sturdy type of people of which the State to-day is sadly in need of. They passed through the most trying periods of Camden's history; and braved many a peril of which the district to-day is absolutely free of.

Six years ago she went to live with her son, Mr. Harry Shoemark, at Mt. Hunter, where she resided until the angel of death came on 20th July. She left seven surviving children, 25 grand children, and 17 great grandchildren.

The funeral took place in the Cawdor cemetery on the 23rd ult., when the body was tenderly deposited in its last resting-place in the presence of relatives and many sympathising friends. Rev. J. Hopkins conducted the funeral service, and Mr. W. Peters looked after the undertaking.
