We have to report the death of Mr. Christopher Joseph O'Rourke, who passed away at his home, Spring Vale, near Jindabyne, on October 20, leaving a sorrowing wife, four sons and three daughters to mourn their sad loss, and for whom the greatest sympathy is felt throughout the district. The late Mr. O'Rourke was born at Jingera, Monaro, 70 years ago, and while still a boy went to Victoria, and later owned a station in that State. In 1870 he married a daughter of the late Mr. T. O'Brien, of Cooma Creek. His wife died 12 months later, leaving an infant son. A few years later he married a daughter of the late Mr James Thompson, of Cobbin, who survives him. In 1883 he came back to New South Wales, and took up the land, on which he resided until his death. The funeral took place at the Moonbah Cemetery immediately after Mass on the Sunday following death, and was very largely attended by friends and relatives from both far and near. Rev. Father Herlihy read the prayers at the graveside and spoke a few most impressive words. R.I.P.

hristopher Joseph O'Rourke, Moonbah. There died at Moonbah, near Jindabyne. on 20th October, an old and greatly respected resident, in the person of Mr. C. J. O'Rourke, after a painful illness. Deceased was born at Jingera, Monaro, a little over seventy years ago, and went to Victoria when a boy, and later held a station in that State. In 1870 or 1871 he married a daughter of the late Mr. T. O'Brien, of Cooma Creek, who died about twelve months later, leaving an infant, son. A few. years afterwards he married a daughter of the Late Mr. James Thompson, of Cobbin, near Jindabyne, and resided for a time at Ingaegoodbie. finally settling at Spring Vale, where his death took place. Besides his widow, four sons and three daughters and a number of grandchildren are left to mourn their sad loss. The funeral, which was very largely attended, took place immediately after the 11 o'clock Mass at Moonbah on Sunday, 28nd October. Rev. Father Herlihy offciated at the graveside, and also spoke in eulogistic terms of deceased. — R.I.P.
