George Giltrap was a Police Sergeant at North Wagga and in later years a Postman. His wife, Clara, was a Midwife, travelling to people's homes to help with deliveries. She was a well-respected woman in the district.
The Tumut and Adelong Times 17 Apr 1934 OBITUARY MRS. G. GILTRAP The death occurred in Wagga last Wednesday of a well-known and very highly respected resident of North Wagga for many years, Mrs. Clara Giltrap, after a long illness, at the age of 75 years. Mrs. Giltrap, who was a sister of Mr. C. Bartholomew, of Tumbarumba, was born at Tumbarumba and was the eldest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bartholomew, of Burra Station. She was married at Tumbarumba to Mr. George Giltrap, who survives. |
