The Tumut and Adelong Times 4 Mar 1930
OBITUARY EDWARD STOCKWELL Mr. Edward Stockwell, one of Tumut's grand old farmers, passed away early on Sunday morning, at the age of 62 years, after a long and lingering illness. He was for many years farming at Gocup, and on account of failing health, about 12 months ago, had to give it up, and moved into town. Besides being a great racing enthusiast, owning Lunar Rose and other gallopers, he was a breeder of draught horses and hunters, winning many prizes at Agricultural Shows in the surrounding districts. He leaves a widow and four children, three sons (Alick, William and Gerald) and one daughter, Agnes (Mrs Blundell, Bombowlee), to mourn his loss. The funeral took place yesterday, the remains being interred in the Catholic portion of the new cemetery, Rev. Fr. Osmund officiating at the graveside. |

This public tree has about 60,100 people. Every person in the tree is related by birth or marriage to at least one other person in the tree - no strays. The people in the tree come mainly from four projects.
If you find errors - anything incorrect (dates, places, wrong parents, wrong children), and you have evidence, I would love to fix them. Or, if you have information that would extend my projects, do not hestiate to contact me on the email link below. I do not publish information on living people - which means I'm not much interested in people born after about 1920, and I usually distrust material from before about 1770 without extremely good sources. g.bell@bigpond.net.au When you click the mail address abouve, if it does not open your email app, copy the address on the screen.
