- Notes: I think Mary Ann's mother was actually Eleanor Mould NOT Eleanor Males. I say this because convict Eleanor Mould, convicted at New Castle on Tyne, transported on Minstrel ie with Ships the Minstrel and Indefatigable that sailed to NSW on June 1812, with her husband John Mould on rhe Indefatigable sent to Van Diemens Land later to become carpenter, builder , and she arriving in Dec 1812 to Port Jackson and then being sent up Parramatta River to PARRAMATTA WOMENS FACTORY, WHEN it was above the Parramatta Gaol ( before the current Parramatta Gaol was built there was another where the Roversode Theatre is now).
She was then serviced to Christopher Bunbury according to Convict Muster records in 1825, who was then free by servitude convict and she and he had one child Mary Ann Bunbury who later married Murphy. She is called Eleanor Mould in some records and then Eleanor Bunbury in court records, but I don't think they ever married. She had already been married to John Mould, but separated from him through transportation and he remarried someone else when he finally did leave Van Diemens Land and get to NSW.
