Personal Notes:
John Gow Ball held the licence of The Gap Inn Malebo Hills from December 1876 to his death in 1877. Elizabeth, his wife, then took on the licence on 30th June 1879.

Daughter of Thomas Stockton senr. and Betsey (Tomeny) Stockton.

Married 1) John Gow Ball. Together they were the parents of John Ball [1865-6], William Thomas Ball, James Ball, Charles Ball, Robert Ball, Henry Ball, and Mrs. George Cooper.

Married 2) Michael Noonan. Together they were the parents of Rebecca (Noonan) Payne and Mary May (Noonan) Hoysted.


OBITUARY
The death occurred at about 7 p.m. yesterday of Mrs. Elizabeth Noonan, at the age of 61 years, at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Robert Hoysted, junr. Deceased had not been in good health for two years. She was born at Camden in 1844. She was twice married- first to the late Mr. John Ball, who was for many years proprietor of the Malebo Hotel. By this marriage she leaves five sons and one daughter, Messrs. William, James, Charles, Robert and Henry Ball, and Mrs. George Cooper, of Sydney. Her second marriage was with Mr. Michael Noonan, of North Wagga, the issue being two daughters, Mrs. Charles Payne and Mrs. Robert Hoysted, junr. She was a very highly respected resident of Wagga and district for over 55 years. Many travelers in the early pioneering days received kindness at her hands. Nearly all her relatives were present with her at the last. The funeral will move from the residence of her daughter Mrs. R. Hoysted, Crampton-street, at 3 p.m. to-day.
