OBITUARY MRS. F. H. BELCHER The death occurred on Monday of Mrs. Frances Harriet Belcher, at thle great age of 95, widow of Mr. S. H. Belchler who was a prominent figure in Goulburn for many years. He was headmaster of the Goullbrn Gramnmar School at one time which, in those days, was conducted in the building now used for Superior Public School. Bourke Street. The school was later removed to Garrooringang. The late Mrs. Belcher was a member of the Goullburn Ladies' Guild and despite her great age was remarkably clever with the needtle. Her sight was un- impaired and this was of great as- sistance to her. Some of her work will be on view at the Church of Eng- land Bazaar tomorrow. Mrs. Belcher was a lovable pIersonality and the news of tler death was receivedt with general regret. Sydney Morning Herald 2 Aug 1929 GOULBURN-The death has occurred ol Mrs Frances Harriet Belcher, at the age of 95 Mrs Belcher was the widow of Mr S H Belcher, who for many years conducted the Goulburn Grammar School In the building now occupied by the Bourke-street Superior Public School, and later removed to Garroorigang. Despite her great age, Mrs Belcher, who was a member of the Ladies' Guild, had excellent sight and was remarkably clever with the needle. |
