WEDDING. HINDER— SAWYER. A lovely gown of white and silver lace over silver tissue was chosen by Miss Helen Mayes (Nell) Sawyer, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Sawyer, of "Eulomo," Bethungra, for her wedding to Mr. Maxwell Hinder, eldest son of the late Dr. and Mrs. Holloway, of Gordon. The dress had a tulle and lace train and a tulle veil which fell from a wreath of orange blossom. A shower bouquet of hynacinths and pale pink roses were carried. The ceremony was performed at St. James' Church by Rev. J. F. S. Russell, the bride being given away by her father. Miss Charley Morgan Jones was the only bridesmaid. Her frock was of shrimp pink embroidered with gold, and she had tulle in her hair to match, and her posy of carnations and roses exactly toned. Mr. John Stanton was the best man. After the ceremony Mrs. Sawyer received the immediate relatives of the bride and bridegroom at the Australia Hotel. She wore black georgette and jet with a black velvet hat, and carried a posy of pink and white roses. Mrs. Holloway chose deep opal blue and silver, and her flowers were pink carnations. The bride travelled in an ensemble of dull mulberry and silver, the coat being trimmed with squirrel, and a hat to tone. |
