Personal Notes: |
George Henry Ray was grandson of second fleet convict farmers at Campbelltown; he moved with Brooker, Ray and Angel relatives to the Murrumbidgee district, Wardry or Uardry Station in the 1840s with his brother, Edward. When Uardry was sold, they moved to Wagga Wagga. Four of the children of George and Mary nee Herrick died in the Typhoid Epidemic in 1867, three in one day. George was a publican of the "Dewdrop Inn" for a time, then a Cab Driver at the time of his accidental death, caused when his cab rolled back over him. |
