| - Notes: I found something about Horace Oswald Bucknell under surveyors. I was able to supply the bloke, E-mail copies, with the Letter of appointment (beautiful hand writing), the original surveyors certificate & the original envelope. This gives a lot of actual detail on the life of Horace Oswald Bucknell that we never knew. If you would like it I can E-mail it onto you. This detail gave me dates of his employment and that ended late 1928.
This seems to confirm what I deducted – that being that he built the house at Turramurra in 1929. I have 2 letters from Frances Harriet Cramp who married Samuel Harbourn Belcher and they were only dated with day & month but were written from Turramurra. The second letter shows a marked deterioration in her writing & I think she was near death. That is what I was looking for. I think she died at Turramurra. The grave stone is at Goulburn but I do not know where she is buried. |
