Henry COX’s birth name was Henry WOOD. His mother Sarah CROSS had a relationship as a 15 y.o.with her neighbour John WOOD the result being young Henry. He simply adopted the name COX when his mother married James COX when he was about 5 years old. Also I have no idea where he pulled the name Hostin from. I hold a Christmas card sent from his mother Sarah in 1908 or something and it is addressed to Mr.H.H.COX so I guess somewhere along the road he tacked that on.
