The marriage of Miss Jean Mary Duguid, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Duguid, of Killara, to Mr. A. R. Morris Gibson, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Gibson, of Wollstonecroft, took place at the Killara War Memorial Congregational Church on December 21 The ceremony was performed by the Rev A P Campbell The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a long, simple gown of moire cut on closely fitting princess lines Her veil of white tulle, which was held In place by a small wreath of orange blos som, was worn with a train of moire, ap pllqued with satin, and adorned with a spray of orange blossom She carried a bouquet of Christmas Hiles, lily of the valley, and stephanotls The bridesmaids were Miss Margaret Duguid, sister of the bride, Miss Violet Gibson, sister of the bridegroom, Miss Olga Robertson, and Miss Margaret Donald- son They wore frocks of pale blue georgette made with a high waistline, and with flared flounces reaching to the ground on one side, and slightly higher on the other Their hats and shoes were to match and they car- ried bouquets of gladioli fuchsias, and delphiniums Mr John Black was best man, and the groomsmen were Messrs Humphrey Roger Gibson, and Allan Richardson The reception was held at Woodlynn the home of the bride's parents, where the guests were received by the bride's mother, wearing a frock of royal blue lace, with a cape and hat to tone, and carrying a posy of golden and blue flowers The brldegrooms's mother chose a frock of burgundy moire, worn vith a black lact hat, and carried a posy of gladioli and roses The bride left for her honeymoon wearing a suit of navy moire, with a white jumper, her hat being of navy Baku straw |
