Noted as Horse Dealer in 1881 on Helen Mutch's death certificate. Research Notes: Death certificate notes the following further information. 6 Children George 11 Adam 9 James 7 John Craigen 5 William Duncan 2 Alexander 1 Deceased in New Pitsligo for 16yrs. (1839). Also is the James Diack who witnesses this My James Diack from New Pitsligo. I know that they have witnessed christenings as well. Medical Notes: The effects of lightning with which the deceased is supposed to have been struck during a recent thunder storm as appear from the evidence witnesses. As certified by ... .. Procurator Fiscal. Reported by Helen Diack (widow) who signs by mark. Witnessed by William Mackie Millitown of Boyndie and Janes Diack New Pitsligo. James married Helen MUTCH, daughter of James MUTCH and Barbara EWEN, on 5 Nov 1843 in Tyrie, Aberdeen. (Helen MUTCH was born about 1810 in Rayne, Aberdeen, Scotland and died on 17 Jun 1881 in Royal Infirmary, Aberdeen, Usual address Queen Street.)
