Here is my 5th great grandfather John Turner, who arrivied on the Mariner in 1816. 1821 ?? 1821, In this year , Elizabeth Humphries gave birth to a son , John . The father was John Turner , Per Mariner . It seems he didn't survive long after his birth. As he is not recorded in the General Muster for the following year, with the rest of the family. 1822 16th April 1822, Mary Ann Turner was born to Elizabeth Humphries and John Turner in Sydney . Elizabeth Humphries is also recorded in the 1822 Muster as living at Sydney, with her common-law husband (convict) John Turner and their child Mary Ann Turner. Mary Ann is noted as 7 years of age , but, in fact was yet 1 year of age. Being born 16 Apr 1822 . The thought is that this is a transcription error and really was a one not seven ? The couple first born son John , is not noted in this muster , it seems he died before it being taken. General Muster & Land & Stock Muster of NSW , 1822 . John was Elizabeth and John's third child and second son, both of whom were named John . It is believed the first son named John died some time in 1821 or 1822, it is possible he did not survive long after birth as he does not appear in the General Muster for 1822 with the rest of the family. |
