Weeden-Morrison
A wedding of much local interest was celebrated at St Stephens Presbyterian Church, Macquarie Street, Sydney, on Wednesday, 2nd May, at 2 pm, the parties being Jean Mary, third daughter of Mr and Mrs J R Morrison, of Dundas Street, Narandera, and Keith, only son of Mr Fred. Weeden and the late Mrs Weeden, of Tumut. The Rev. Frank Haslar, of Manly, was the celebrant. As the bride entered the church escorted by her brother-in-law, Mr Harold Dixon, who gave her away, the organist played the Bridal March. The bride was attired in a blue costume with navy accessories, to which she pinned a shoulder spray of red roses. She was attended by her sister, Miss Leila Morrison, as bridesmaid, who wore a pink dress with navy, accessories and a shoulder spray of pink carnations. Mr Harry Sawkins filled the role of best man. As the wedding party, left the church, which was beautifully decorated, the Wedding March was rendered on the organ. After the ceremony a small party of immediate relatives was held at the home of Mr and Mrs H Dixon, of Five Dock, where numerous congratulatory telegrams were received from friends and well-wishers of the newly weds. The honeymoon was spent in Sydney. Mr. and Mrs. Weeden have returned to Tumut, where they will make their home.
