Personal Notes: |
Joe McInerney attended Tarcutta Public School. From an early age he assisted his father and brothers with the Mail Coach Runs, and from 1918-1923 operated it alone. He also 'broke-in' horses and assisted his wife with the fruit/lolly shop. In 1923 he obtained labouring work in Canberra and returned to Tarcutta at weekends for six years, until the family moved to Canberra. |
