- Notes: WEDDING BELLS. A pretty wedding was celebrated at the Methodist Church, Adelong, on Wednesday last, when one of the esteemed town girls, Miss Minnie Pro wse, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Prowse, was joined in the bonds of wedlock with Mr. Leslie Stranger, son of Mr. John Stranger, of "Buena Vista," Kellyville. The wedding took place at 6 p.m., and the church looked its best owing to the magnificent de corations placed therein by friends of the bride. There was a big assem blage, both the gallery and ground floor being fully occupied by well wishers. As the bride entered the church on the arm of her father, the choir sang "The Voice that Breathed o'er Eden," and later, whilst signing the register, Miss Mavis Melrose sang very sweetly. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Nellie Prowse, as bridesmaid, whilst Mr. Stranger had the services of Mr. Brideoake, of Elbow, near Junee, to pilot him through. |
