On Wednesday evening, December 22, 1937, All Saints' Church, Tumut, was the scene of the wedding of Mona, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Matt French, of 'Bebyont,' Brungle, to Kenneth, only son. of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Johnson, of West Blowering. The bride, who entered the church escorted by her father, wore a charming gown of Chantilly lace cut on classical lines and worn over ivory satin. Her veil was .of embossed tulle and . was held in place with orange blossom. She carried a bouquet of white and pink gladioli, tuberoses and maidenhair fern. The bride's sister, Mrs. Muriel Morley, of Wagga, attended as matron of honor, and chose rose du barry angelskin for her gown, with a short tulle veil held in place by a silver halo of flowers. Her bouquet was pink gladioli and gypsoliphia, with green satin bows. Little Joan Morley acted as flower girl, and wore a sweet little Princess Elizabeth frock of green spotted net, and carried in her silver basket, pink roses and carnations. Mr. C. Fuller, ably carried out the duties of best man. About 50 guests were received at the reception by Mrs. Matt French, the bride's mother, who was smartly attired in a brown and fawn rhythm crepe ensemble with accessories to tone, and carried dahlias and asparagus fern for her bouquet. The bridegroom's mother wore figured paisley with brown accessories, and carried a posy of carnations. After the usual toasts had been honored and the numerous presents admired, the young couple left amid showers of confetti and good wishes on a honeymoon tour to the south coast.
