| The Lieschke family arrived in South Australia in 1851; came to NSW in 1869. Jacob purchased a property, "Doodle Cooma" near Henty in 1883. Jacob's wife, Josephine nee Hanckel was also born of parents who settled in South Australia and moved to parts of NSW. Josephine's father settled near Henty after being in the Walla Walla area for some years. |
