MRS. MARY SMITH The late Mrs. Mary Smith of Moonbah (whose death at the District hospital was reported in the ' Mercury ' of 18th inst) was the wife of Mr. Joseph Henry Smith, and the second daughter of the late Mr. Henry Filtness of Moonbah. The remains were placed in St. Paul's Church, where on Friday last a short service was conducted by the Rev. Canon Hirst prior to the interment at Moonbah where the Rev. A. G. Cutts officiated. The pall bearers were Messrs. Thomas Golby, Roy, Desmond and Edward Filtness. The deceased, who was a native of Moonbah, resided there all her life. She leaves a widower, two daughters Mrs. Thomas Lyons of Bombala and Miss Enid Smith of Moonbah, and one son Lancelot of Moonbah. Her brothers are Messrs. Edward, Charles. William and Desmond Filtness of Moonbah aud Mr. Henry Filtness of Cooma. Wreaths were from Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Woodhouse and family, Charles May and family, all at West Lynne, Jim and Alma O'Rourke, Mrs. O'Rourke, Mr. and Mrs. S. Good win, and M. A. James, Beryl and Rex, Mr. and Mrs. M. Power and family, M Byrne and family, Mr. and Mrs. Wellsmore and family, from loving husband and family, Bill and Annie Avery, Ada and Denty, Mr. and Mrs Feeney and family, Matron and Staff of hospital, Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Willis and family, Alf and family, from Roy Annie, Barry, Amelia, Carrie and Ruby Crawford, Roy Stewart, Jack and Harriet, Mr. and Mrs. Rush, Mrs. Woodhouse, Mrs. C.
