The daughter of Thomas and Martha Sedgwick. On 31 Mar 1832 at the Chester, Cheshire, England Assizes she was convicted and sentenced to 7 years transportation for stealing money. She arrived at Port Jackson, Sydney on 2 Feb 1833 on the ship "Fanny".
28 Nov 1836 she received permission to marry William Wright. They were married on 19 Dec 1836, in All Saints Church of England, in Sutton Forest, NSW. William and Mary had 3 (three), children, Catherine Elizabeth Esther, Martha, and Charles.
