Miss Anne Colls, who will be married to Mr, William McCutcheon, of Innisfail, on June 1 in St. Cecilia's Church of England, Chinchilla. Miss Colls is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H..Colls, Brigalow.

2 KILLED IN TRAINING FLIGHT

When an aircraft on an air-army co-operation training flight crashed 5 miles from Bungendore, NSW, on Friday an RAAF pilot and an Army officer were killed They were -Pilot Officer Frederick William Powell, 24 single, and Capt William John McCutcheon (Q 39029), 25, married
Pilot-Officer Powell had a civil pilot's A licence before enlisting at Sydney last April Captain McCutcheon was in civil life a cane farmer at Cowley, via Innisfail (Q )
Cause of the accident is obscure

AIR CRASH
TWO KILLED AT BUNGENDORE
MELBOURNE, Monday.

An R.A.A.F. pilot and an Army Officer were killed instantly when an aircraft from the Army Co-operation School crashed at Bungendore on Friday. Releasing the details, the Minister for Air (Mr. Drakeford) said that the plane was destroyed. The cause of the accident was unknown.

The killed were:
Pilot-Officer Frederick William Powell, 24 single; and
Captain William John McCutcheon, 25, married.

Pilot-Officer Powell enlisted in 1941, and was trained at Lindfield, Mascot and Wagga, and gained his commission in December. Captain McCutcheon was formerly a farmer at Cowley, near Innisfail, Queensland.
