Note 5: Burial records Logan Witness (Beenleigh) 2 Feb 1889 DONALD.—At Riverside, Coomera, on Sunday night, January 20th, at twenty minutes to eleven, GEORGE DONALD, aged 96 last May, 1888. Death of an old Identity.— Mr. George Donald, father-in-law of Mr. William Bin- stead, of the Coomera, who died on Sunday, the 20th January last, was born in Scotland in 1791. He arrived inSydney in 1838 and was engaged by the Leslie's and travelled overland on to the Darling Downs, then being settled. He stayed with the Leslie's at different stations for a long time. He met with an accident in the bush, and one of his arms was paralised. For the last 25 years he has been residing with Mr. Binstead and was a fine old specimen of a bushman. He was nearly 97 years of age.
