Mr. W. Snedden – The funeral of Mr. W. Snedden, New Lambton, at Sandgate cemetery, was attended by many people connected with the building industry. The President (Mr. C. Davis) with other officers and members, represented Newcastle branch of the Master Builders’ Association. The Manager (Mr. J. Ramsden) with other officials and staff of Messrs Briscoe and Co Ltd, also attended Mr. Snedden, who was 42, was for years a traveller for the company.
Pallbearers were Messrs. W. Brain, H Parker, R Collard and S.C. Kempster. Rev C. Keir of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, conducted to service, in which officers and members of Lodge Star in the East, U.G.L. of New South Wales, and Rose of Hamilton Lodge, Grand United Order of Oddfellows took part.
