The West Australian (Perth) 26 Aug 1925 SOUTH YARRA TRAGEDY. Braby Charged With Murder. Melbourne. Aug 25 At the conclusion of- the lnquest to day into the death of William Southwick, aged 69, estate and commission agent, whose dead body, with the headmuti lated, was found lying in a lumber room at the rear of his garage in Toorak-road, South Yarra. on August 3. the City Coroner (Mr. D. Berriman) committed Cyrus Luff Braby, aged 30, for trial upon a charge of murder. Detective Ethell. in answer to counsel, said that Braby. from his observation, was a very bad mental- case. Martin- Braby, father of the accused, said that his son had served with the heavy artillery during the war and had since been a patient at several mental hospitals.
