Weiske took place yesterday forenoon and was attended by relatives of the deceased. Mrs Weiske was 69 years of age. She arrived in Australia in 1871 and came to Mackay from Brisbane with her husband in 1872. A husband and grown-up family are left to mourn their loss, the members, of the family being Mrs. J C. Laurent, Messrs. Fred Weiske (Postmaster, Barcaldine), and Ernie, Willie, Charley and Frank (Mackay).

Sampson, also known as Clara Sampson, also known as Antonle Clara Weiske, householder, of Wilson Street, Kangaroo Point, was granted to McWhirters', Ltd., Fortitude Valley, by his Honour Mr Justice E. A. Douglas, In the Federal Bankruptcy Court yesterday. The debt was set out as being £87/ 16/, for goods supplied, for which a Magistrate's Court judgment had been obtained. Mr. L. G. Lukin (Instructed by Messrs. Tully and Wilson) appeared for the petitioning creditor.
