ARRIVAL OF THE CLARA, WITH 384 GOVERNMENT IMMIGRANTS. The Clara, Captain R. J. Barrow, 938 tons, which sailed from Plymouth for Adelaide on the 4th February, arrived on Monday, 1st May, thus completing the passage in 85 days. She brings a total of 384 immigrants, who are under the charge of Dr. W. Donaldson, Surgeon-Superintendent. The names and occupations of the immigrants are given below :— English - Richard, Emma, Emma, Edward, and Fanny Sallis. Summary.—English—Adults 253, children between 1 and 12 - 56, infants 18, total 327; Scotch— Adults 27, children between 1 and 12 7, infants 1. total 35; Irish—Adults 17, children between 1 and 12 5. total 22; grand total, 384; equal to 331 statute adults. Industrial classifications—Shoemakers 4, copper and other miners 85, farm labourers 12, servants 36, porter 1, masons 6, labourers 31, plasterer 1, dressmakers 3, matron 1, sawyers 6, plumber 1, smiths 4, grooms 4, fanners 4, carpenters 4, carter 1, quarryman 1, wheelwright 1, cook 1, tailor 1, ploughman 1, joiner 1 The South Australian Advertiser 23 April 1873 HULL—SALLIS.—On Thursday, April 10, at the residence of the bride's parents, by the Rev.
