Military Weddings
Major Lassetter, commanding the. New South Wales Mounted Infantry, was married to Miss Elsie Antill, youngest daughter of Mr. John Macquarie Antill, of Jervisfield, Picton, at St Mary's Church, Picton, on Wednesday. The Picton Company of Mounted Infantry, with, regimental band, formed an escort. Over 200 guests assembled at Jervisfield for the wedding breakfast, after the ceremony, a special train, conveying the Sydney visitors. Major and Mrs., Lassetter left Picton at 4.15. They were greeted with showers of rice on their appearance on the platform..

A SOLDIER TURNED CIVILIAN.
LONDON, September 14.
Captain Harry Beauchamp Lassetter, captain South Staffordshire Regiment, who since April 12,1889, has held command of the New South Wales Mounted Infantry, with the local rank of major, has resigned his commission with a view to joining the firm of Messrs. F. Lassetter & Co., hardware merchants, Sydney.

CAPTAIN LASSETTER.

Captain Harry Beauchamp Lassetter, of the South Staffordshire Regiment, serving with colonial forces in New South Wales with rank of major, has resinned his commission. Major Lassetter, who served with the Nile Expedition in 1884-5, and received a medal with clasp and Khedive's Star, is commanding the mounted infantry of Sydney, and has been awarded a gratuity and given permission to retain his rank and uniform. It is rumoured that he is likely to join Messrs. F. Lassetter & Company, of Sydney, hardware merchants.

Colonel. Harry B. Lassetter, C.B., of New South Wales, has been promoted to the rank of brigadier general.
Colonel Lasaetter, who was born in 1860 in Sydney, passed through the English military schools, and won his commission as captain. He raised and commanded the New South Wales Mounted Rifles, with which he served in South Africa, being mentioned in dispatches. He has been with the Light Horse in the present war.] .

OBITUARY
After an illness extending over nearly two weeks, Brigadier-General H. B. Lassetter died in Sydney last night (aged 66 years). The career of Brigadier-General Harry Beauchamp Lassetter was distinguished, both as a soldier and as a man of affairs, he was the eldest son of the late Mr. Frederick Lassetter, founder of the well-known firm of F. Lassetter and Co., Ltd. For the last 35 years the general had taken a very active part in tho conduct of the business, and was chairman of directors. He went to England in 1915, and took charge of a brigade of the Territorials. He was at that time a colonel, and rose to be brigadier-general in January, 1917. He received the decoration of C.M.G.
