BENNETT.-On June 20. 1918, at her late residence Horsburg road, Malvern, Victoria, Charlotte, the beloved wife of Rev Nathaniel Bennett, formerly of New Town, Tasmania.

OBITUARY
The Rev. Nathaniel Bennett, who about 30 years ago was in charge of the Warr nambool Methodist Circuit, has died at the age of 91 years. He was born in Eng land, and he entered the Methodist ministry when he was 19 years of age. At the time of his death he was the oldest minister in the denomination. He has left a family of five daughters and four sons. Two of the latter are clergymen (Rev Leslie Bennett, M.A., BD., master of King's College, Brisbane University, and Rev. Mansley Bennett, of .Shepparton). Mrs. Bennett died in 1918.

The Rev. Nathaniel Bennett, Methodist minister, died on Thursday at his residence, Malvern, Victoria, at the advanced ago of 90 years. He entered the Methodist ministry at Clarendon, South Australia, in 1854, came to Hobart in 1865, and was superintendent of Melville street Church for three years. In 1876 he was appointed to New Town, and while there married Miss McKay, a sister of Mr. Charles Mc Kay of Cambridge, and Mrs. Alexander, of New Town. In 1888 he was elected president of the Wesleyan Conference. He was a very popular and gifted preacher, and did well in all his circuits, which included Hawthorn, Toorak, and Armadale. He became a supernumerary in 1892, residing at Malvern until his death. He leaves four daughters and three sons, two of whom are ministers, the Rev. Leslie Bennett, M.A., principal of King's College, Brisbane, and the Rev. Mansley Bennett, of Victoria. The former was minister of the Swan street Church, Hobart, for five years.
