Esperance Reg No 7 1948 The West Australian (perth) 7 July 1948 STEARNE: Passed peacefully away at Esperance, July 3, Ernest Wil- liam, beloved husband of Myra, fond father of Don, Barry, Lesley and Jim, father-in-law of Mary, fond granddad of Margaret and John (Kalgoorlie). Kalgoorlie Miner 6 July 1948 FUNERAL AT ESPERANCE Esperance, July 5. — The funeral of the late Mr. E. W. Stearne, of Esperance, took place this afternoon. A service was conducted in the Methodist Church, Esperance, by the Rev. Fox, of the Australian Inland Mission. The church was filled by a representative gathering and the service was continued at the graveside, the cortege being perhaps the longest ever seen in Esperance. Among those present were ex-members of the Esperance Road Board, of which Mr. Stearne was at one time chairman, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce, various other bodies and mining associates. The West Australian (Perth) 9 Mar 1949 PROBATE Mr. Ernest William Stearne, re tired farmer and plumber, of Es perance, who died on July 3 at the age of 80 years, left estate of a probate value of £11,161/ 11/3. The testator's widow and children are the beneficiaries un der the will.
