H. Wilson, of Gainsborough-street, and brother to Messrs Wm. and Thos. Wilson, of this town. The de ceased gentleman was only 32 years of age, and having served his apprenticeship to the drapery business here, entered the firm of Messrs Ball and Welch of Carlton, where, owing to his busi ness ability and popularity, he obtained a pro minent position in the firm. His health failing him, he returned to Castlemaine in February last, and although his condition was considered serious, his death yesterday morning was unex pected. Much sympathy is expressed for his relatives in their bereavement. The funeral, which will be of a private character, takes place to-morrow morning.
